Adult workshops

We run workshops for a minimum of 4 people so if you and a group of friends wish to get together and want to nail this sewing lark then call us to arrange a date and you can even choose the project and agenda.

On our workshops we supply a machine and any equipment you may need and refreshments.  We do not sell you fabric so you can find your own bargains and we can advise on that so you get value for money!

To secure a place please book and pay in advance, payment details on request.

Make friends with a sewing machine!

10am - 12.30pm £25.00pp or £40.00 per 2 people (invite a friend!)

We've run many of these over the years and they're a great way of dispelling any scary myths about using a lovely sewing machine and it really gives you the confidence to have a go on your own and make those things you really want to make.

We’ll start with the basics, threading up, winding the bobbin, then we will take you through different hemming techniques, button holes, stitching curves and corners, professional finishing and what you need in your sewing basket giving you the confidence to go it alone!  Bring your own machine (and its manual) or use one of ours.

If we have time we'll go over how to understand a paper pattern and of course you can ask our experienced industry-trained tutor any query or problem you may have!

Yummy refreshments provided!
